Ever you felt your PC is running slow or your files are getting corrupted? It is sign of viruses and Trojans. There may be many other things which can point to infection of viruses , Trojans, worms etc.
Some signs:
1. Data files such as word, excel has been corrupted, altered.
2. Applications, programs which you use almost daily, are not opening or running slower as you are getting response late after clicking.
3. Hard disk space or memory space is filling up mysteriously.
4.Error
messages are popping up.
5.Time Date stamp ( creation and modification time and date) has been altered.
6.System running very slow while doing normal tasks.
7.You are getting many copies of same file and it is not done by you.
8.System hangs or restarts frequently.
9.BIOS giving error message or asking to write something on boot sector.
10.Any other strange behavior.
If you are experiencing any of above , possibility of infection is very high and you need some countermeasures.
